Finding and Bidding on Posted Work

Finding and Bidding on Posted Work

The Posted tab shows open work your organization has posted — assignments you can volunteer for by placing a bid.

Searching

The Posted work tab with a search box, a date range chip, an Ignore my availability switch, and open assignments that each show a Bid button.

  • Use the search box to filter by words in the assignment.
  • Tap the date range chip to narrow the dates you're looking at.
  • By default you only see work that fits your availability on file. Turn on Ignore my availability to see everything anyway. (To change your availability itself, see How to Add Your Availability for Assignments.)

Open assignments vs. blocks

Results come in two groups:

  • Open assignments — individual assignments you bid on one at a time.
  • Blocks — recurring sets of assignments that are filled as a unit. Each block lists its member assignments; tap one to see the full details of what you'd be committing to.

The Blocks section of the Posted tab showing a block of two assignments with its member assignments listed and a single Bid button for the whole block.

Placing a bid

Tap Bid on an assignment or block. The app confirms before sending:

  • Bidding tells the office you're available and willing to take the work. If your organization allows automatic assignment, you may be assigned immediately.
  • Bidding on a block bids on all of its assignments as a unit.

A confirmation dialog asking whether to bid on this assignment, explaining the office will be notified and automatic assignment may apply, with Cancel and Place bid buttons.

After you bid, the office is notified and takes it from there — keep an eye on your Home tab, where the work will appear if it's assigned to you.

Not seeing anything?

Try widening the date range, changing your search words, or turning on Ignore my availability. If there's simply nothing posted right now, check back later.
